The traditional seven-mile (11.27 km) costume race through the main streets of San Francisco, organized by the local newspaper The Examiner. First Bay to Breakers race held in 1906 (its original purpose - to maintain the spirit of the fallen after the earthquake, local residents) and this tradition has taken root. In 1986, the race even got into the Guinness book as a record number of participants (110,000). Today the Bay to Breakers - spring festival in San Francisco, which annually attracts more than 70,000 spectators and participants, who dress up in the most incredible costumes. A distinctive feature of this race is some degree of nudity participants. This is sort of a combination of Mardi Gras and Hollouina, which gets rid of the complexes and to have fun.
